Plan Filler treatments so you have 24-72 hours for treatment area to heal. Plan for at least one week prior to an event of occassion, due to possible swelling and bruising. 

Please note: any injections may cause bruising. The use of Arnica (topical or oral) 24 hours prior to treatment, may help with swelling and bruising. This may be used after treatment until the bruising has subsided.

Please avoid the following medications at least 2 days prior: Aspirin, Advil (Ibuprofen/Motrin), Naproxen (Aleve) Excedrin (all OTC pain pills except Tylenol), Vitamin E, Vitamin A, Gingko Biloba, fish oil, St John’s Wort.   

Please avoid alcohol 24 hours prior to treatment to minimize bleeding and bruising.

If possible arrive to your appointment wearing no makeup- the treatment area will be cleansed. 

It is important to not lay down for at least 4 hours after treatment.

Avoid physical activity/excessive sweating, pressure to treated area, exposure to direct sunlight/saunas, facials for 24 hours.

Apply ice and Arnica (topical or oral) to help with swelling and bruising. 

Depending on the area treated, try to lay on your back while sleeping (ex. cheeks). For lip filler avoid drinking from a straw for at least a week, until filler settles. 

Dysport- redness typically lasts 20 minutes, possible bruising.

Filler- possible swelling and bruising, most common for lip filler and lasts 48-72 hours. Ice and arnica may be applied to minimize side effects.

Dysport results are seen a full week after treatment.

Filler results are immediate with possible swelling and bruising, best results are seen at 1-2 weeks.

Please keep this in mind if you have an upcoming event or vacation.

Both products contain botulinum toxin as the active ingredient. Botox was first used for treatment in North America. Dysport was first used in Europe. 
Both are effective in treating and preventing fine lines and wrinkles.

Dysport has been shown to provide a quicker onset and have longer lasting results.
Dysport contains cow's milk protein (this will effect those with an anaphylactic allergy; this should not effect those who are lactose intolerant or have a history of hives).

The Beautox Bar uses Dysport exclusively.

Dysport prevents and treats fine lines and wrinkles, by temporarily relaxing the muscle. Most common areas- forehead lines, frown lines (11's), crowsfeet, lip flip, gummy smile, smile lift, chin dimples, underarm sweating (hyperhidrosis).

Cosmetic Filler is all natural Hyaluronic Acid (with lidocaine) and adds volume under the skin to plump, contour, hydrate and improve the appearance of aging. Most common areas- lips, deep lines, smile lines, under eyes (tear troughs), cheeks, chin and jaw.
